We're pleased to announce that Dr. Luke Schira has joined the practice and is now seeing patients! He already knows our GVC community of pet owners is an amazing one and he looks forward to getting to know you, and your special furry family members, while providing excellent care.
Dr. Schira is originally from Rochester Hills and attended Rochester High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Oakland University. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2025. Dr. Schira’s career interests include dentistry, canine and feline medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, he lives on a small sheep farm with his wife (Dr. Frances Angel), his cat (Logan), and Shetland Sheepdog (Eevee). Apart from veterinary medicine, he enjoys reading, running, growing vegetables and fruits, working on home-improvement projects around the farm, and rooting for all things Iowa State. He is excited to be part of the Goodison Veterinary Center team!
