Meet our skilled GVC staff members!

    DEANA, LVT
    Team member since 1998

    Deana is a licensed veterinary technician and has been with GVC since 1998. She received her degree from Macomb Community College and went on to earn a BBA from Rochester College. Her family includes her husband, Matthew, her children, Hilary and Zachary, and their dogs, Teddy and Elenor.

    Team member since 2001

    Julie has been a licensed veterinary technician since 1998, having earned her degree from Macomb Community College. She has been an integral part of the staff at GVC since 2001. Julie and her husband, Al, live with their twin boys, Phoenix and J.D., in Sterling Heights and also share their home with five furry children. Julie enjoys living out her childhood dreams every day here at GVC.

    CLARA
    Team member since 2003

    Clara grew up surrounded by animals, loves working with GVC’s team and clients, and finds every day to be a rewarding learning experience. She and her husband Lawrie are Rochester Hills empty nesters (along with their dog and two cats), with children in Lake Orion (including two grandboys), Boulder CO, and Seattle WA. Clara volunteers with the Friends of the Paint Creek Trail and Knit Michigan. She is also an avid seamstress, knitter, and weaver.

    Team member since 2011

    Candace loves working with animals and their owners on a daily basis. Her pets include her cat, Cinder, and dogs, Roxy and Logan. In her free time, she enjoys spending time on the lake with her family and friends.

    KATHERINE, LVT
    Team member since 2016

    Katherine is originally from England. She moved to Rochester in 2001 and graduated from Oakland University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. In 2018, Katherine subsequently graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Macomb Community College and passed her national board exam to become a licensed veterinary technician. She was on the Oakland University women's swimming and diving team for all four years of her undergraduate studies and has always had a love of animals and passion to work in the field of veterinary medicine.

    AMANDA, LVT
    Team member since 2017

    Amanda graduated from Michigan State University in 2011 with a degree in animal science and again in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in veterinary technology. She has three dogs: an English Lab named Maverick, an Australian Shepherd named Atlas, and a Border Collie named Piper. In her spare time, she competes in agility with her Border Collie. Amanda has been interested in canine behavior and training since she was young. She carries that into her career as an LVT. She loves educating clients on their dog or puppy’s behavior and enjoys strengthening the human-animal bond!

    Diane is married to Michael and has two sons, Logan and Kalan. They reside in Ortonville where they enjoy frequent sightings of deer, foxes, coyotes, and many other wildlife. She graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and has a background in sales, marketing, and advertising. Diane has a dog named Otter and hopes, someday, to have a horse and some goats. She enjoys spending time with her family, biking, hiking, photography, and attending her sons’ many sporting events.

    JUDY
    Team member since 2017

    After retiring from many years in 'Corporate America', Judy wanted work doing something more fun. She loves animals so working at Goodison Veterinary Center seemed like the perfect place to see lots of them. When not working, Judy likes to spend time with her three grandchildren (Lindsey, Ayden, and Eliot) and multiple granddogs. She also enjoys reading, swimming, and cooking.

    Amanda has had a passion for animals since she was a child and has a daughter she hopes to pass that on to. In addition, she has three cats (Biggasaurus Rex, Neville, and Meeko). She also has two dogs (Bo Duke and Dottie). In her free time, Amanda loves to spend time with her daughter and enjoys kayaking.

    Team member since 2019

    Ashley grew up in Clarkston and still lives there with her husband, Aaron. They have two daughters, three dogs, and a Russian tortoise. Her interest in animals started at a young age when she showed dogs in 4-H. In Ashley’s free time, she and her husband enjoy going to their family cottage on Lake Huron, wine tasting, spending time with family, and cheering on U of M. GO BLUE!!

    Laura obtained her education as a veterinary technician in Colorado. After graduation, she worked in emergency and general practice in Colorado for ten years before moving back to her hometown of Rochester Hills. She enjoys hiking with her children and taking care of their betta fish, Robbie.

    Team member since 2019

    Luke joined the GVC team in 2019 as a veterinary assistant. He graduated from Oakland University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Luke has resided in Rochester Hills for much of his life and shares his life with two shelties, Riva and Wendy. He loves to hike, play disc golf, watch movies (with the 1999 classic The Mummy being his favorite), and roots for all things MSU. Go Green!

    Team member since 2020

    Erin joined the GVC team as a vet assistant. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technology program. Erin has always loved and wanted to work with animals. Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Duffy, and their two dogs; pitbull mix, Princess, and mixed breed, Apollo. She also enjoys anything Disney, hiking, fishing, and generally spending time in the outdoors.

    JD started working at GVC in April of 2020. He attends the Utica Academy for International Studies and runs cross country for Henry Ford II High School. He likes reading, riding his bike, and spending time with his pets in his free time.

    Jessika has worked in the pet industry since she was 18 years old, including at pet stores, boarding/daycare facilities, and even grooming salons. She’s always had an interest in vet medicine which led her to Goodison and enrollment in vet tech school at Penn Foster. Jessika’s true passion is pet nutrition. She is a certified pet nutritionist and is certified in raw feeding as well. She shares her home with two beautiful domestic long-haired cats, Sarabi and Lil' Bean, as well as her young son.

    Katie went to MSU for Horse Management and lived in three different states doing horse and small animal veterinary work before moving back to her home state of Michigan. She loves being at the beach, hiking, coffee, and working out. She has two Jack Russell Terriers.

    Roxi was born and raised in Connecticut before moving to North Carolina for college where she ended up staying for ten years before moving to Michigan in 2015 where she started a family with her husband, Frank. She has two daughters named Allie and Gwen. Roxi is also mom to a Beagle/Hound mix named Berkley and a cat named Bonkers. She enjoys being creative in her free time and especially loves making things with clay.

    Anna is a student at Oakland University and has always been an animal lover, growing up with three dogs, three cats, and lizards. She currently has two dogs (a Golden Retriever and a black Labrador Retriever mix), two cats (a grey tabby and a black cat), and a fancy bearded dragon. She is an equestrian and loves to horseback ride, read, and spend time outdoors where you can find her practicing yoga, bike riding, kayaking, or hiking with her dogs and family.

    Elizabeth has been an animal lover her whole life. She currently owns two St. Bernards, Bentlee and Canelo, as well as a Shepherd, Oso. She can’t imagine life without a furry friend! Elizabeth hopes to continue to work in the veterinary field with exotics and wildlife. In her free time, she loves to camp/travel (as much as she can!), spend time with friends, family, and pets, and relax while being creative/crafty/artsy.

    Ann graduated from Macomb Community College in May of 2021 and is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has two cats named Castiel and Yuna. Ann also has a German Shephard named Strife. She spends most of her free time drawing or playing video games.

    Brianne is currently a student at Oakland Community College and is taking prerequisite classes before beginning a formal veterinary technology program. She has several years of experience working as a vet tech assistant and has always had a love for animals, whether it be her family dog (Ella), her aunt’s horse, or her guinea pig (Tofu). In her free time, Brianne coaches high school and club volleyball and enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family.

    Chloe graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Macomb Community College. She loves getting to know her patients and creating a personal connection with them. Within the veterinary field, Chloe has a particular interest in canine behavior and rehabilitation. She has two Labrador Retrievers (chocolate and yellow) and two guinea pigs. Her hobbies include lifting weights, painting, photography, studying, going up north, hiking, exploring Michigan, and visiting museums. In the future, she hopes to rescue Greyhounds or adopt senior dogs to give them a better end-of-life experience.

    Emma is from Rochester, Michigan and started working at Goodison in June of 2022. She is in her final year at Detroit Mercy and aspires to have a career in the veterinary pharmaceutical field. In her free time, she enjoys caring for her many pets and spending time with family.

    Julie has been a client of the Goodison Veterinary Center for over 20 years and when a job opportunity became available, she was eager to join the team. She and her family like to vacation and boat on Lake St. Clair. Julie finds the therapy work she and her Golden Retriever do very rewarding.

    Kate has been an animal lover ever since she was a kid which eventually led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She has a special interest in large animals. In her free time, she barrel races competitively with her horse (Dio), loves hiking with her two Australian Cattle Dogs (Annie and Axle), or can be found tending to her six goats!

    Margaret has lived in Romeo her entire life and has been a true animal lover and friend to all animals since she was a little girl. She has a beautiful daughter named Adeline and a wonderful Labrador Retriever named Mocha.

    Elizabeth has been an animal lover her whole life! After growing up with many pets, she is currently a dog mom to her Australian Shepherd sisters, Maggie and Abbie! Liz’s favorite part of her job is engaging with clients and their furry family members. In her free time, you can find her traveling with her boyfriend, chasing her young nephew around, or spending time with her friends and family at their cabin in Mio, Michigan.

    Sam earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology at the Vet Tech Institute of Bradford School in Columbus, Ohio in 2019 and became certified shortly after arriving back home in Michigan. Her passion in veterinary medicine is educating clients about the pet's individual care and/or conditions because of how much it truly means to them to take the time to help them understand what is going on with their furry kids. She also enjoys helping fellow veterinary professionals learn and expand their knowledge so they can grow within their position to whatever they dream of. In her free time, Sam enjoys reading, cross stitching and embroidery, and playing video games. She currently shares her life with her fiance Logan, two cats named Harvest and Loki, and a ferret named Onix.

    Resident team member

    Toonsie (affectionately known as T.T.) is our well-loved clinic cat. She can often be found daintily eating her treats or snuggling in for a nap in her cozy basket after an exciting morning of scouting out the action in the clinic and keeping all of us in line!
